Tryanuary is a nationwide campaign, founded in 2015 to encourage support for the beer industry throughout January. The beginning of the year can be a challenging month at the best of time for independent breweries, pubs, bars and other retailers so it’s a fantastic initiative. And right now they need an extra bit of support. Here are some tips to help you help them out (lockdown, social distancing etc permitting):
1. If there are any, go along and support your local Tryanuary events. Usually there’s a great programme of in-person happenings but obviously 2021 might be different. Be sure to check out their website for events near you:

2. Fill up your mini keg(s) at your local microbrewery/pub. Spread the word on social media to encourage others to do the same.
3. Get some mates together and go on a brewery tour (or take part in a virtual tasting). We always find it really inspiring to get out into the commercial world and see what small breweries are up to. They’ve got their ears to the ground too so they’ll be able to tell you what’s hot, and perhaps you can tap into them for their pro brewing tips.
